My Story
Hi! My name is Kimberley, I'm 32 years old and I travel to homes in Surrey and Berkshire.
I have 13 years of experience as a qualified hairdresser and I started working in salons from the age of 13.
I have certificates Level 1, 2 and 3 in hairdressing as well as barbering and hair extensions.
In my past salons I have become a head stylist, a hair up specialist and I've also worked in New Zealand's No1 hair extensions salon (Superior Hair).
In the beginning of 2019 I decided to take a break from my UK life to go travelling.
So for 1 year and 8 months me and my Fiancé travelled 12 country's through South east Asia and New Zealand.
Seeing the world opened my eyes to what opportunities are out there, so in coming back to the UK I set up my freelance business and I wouldn't go back!

What hair extentions are there?
All the hair I use is 100% deluxe Indian Remy
What are Tape-in's?
Tape-ins are semi permanent hair extensions. Depending how they are cared for and how fast your hair grows they can last from 4 to 8 weeks before being changed or re-applied. They are the quickest method to apply, taking from 30 minutes to an hour.
Tape-ins are the most popular option as they lay flat to the head, are light weight and a great for all hair types!
They are attached to clean dry, straightened hair by taking a section of your hair and sandwiching it in between 2 tape-ins one on top and one underneath and squeezed together to secure into place.
What is a Weft?
Weft hair extensions are similar to clip ins but without the clips and more permanent. They take 2 to 3 hours to apply.
They are large pieces of hair that are beaded and sewn on. Wefts can last 4 to 8 weeks after application, depending on home care and how fast your hair grows. The hair can also be re-used 2 to 3 times if cared for correctly.
Weft hair extensions are a great way to add thickness and volume to your hair.
What are Nano's?
Nano's are individual pieces of hair that are attached by weaving a section of your hair through a micro bead, then with the hair extension inside, the bead is clamped down to secure into place.
Nano's require maintenance every 6 to 8 weeks as you naturally shed around 50-100 strands of hair per day; meaning the strands of hair, the extensions are attached
to become smaller over time, but can last up to 3 for 4 months. They take 2 to 5 hours to apply.
Nano's are a great option as they require no chemicals or heat to apply or remove.
What are Pre-bonded hair extensions?
Also known as fusion or keratin bonded hair extensions.
Pre-bonded hair extensions are semi-permanent hair extensions that requires the least amount of maintenance. They can take 2 to 5 hours to apply.
The keratin bonds are lined with silicone to protect your hair while the glue is heated up and wrapped around a section of your hair.
They last 2 to 3 months with the correct care before being removed.
Pre-bonded hair extensions can not be re-used.
AFTERCARE
TAPES: Once attached you should not wash your hair for 48 hours, this will make sure the tape sets properly. Washing your hair any time before this can cause slip or fall out.
ALL HAIR EXTENSIONS:
Sulfate free shampoo and conditioner is the best to look after your own hair as well as keep the hair extensions feeling full and healthy for longer.
Tying your hair in a side pony tail or plaits will keep your hair from knotting over night and it also gives it a lovely beach wave!
I also recommend to NOT tie your hair up too tightly as any excess strain on your hair can cause damage.
